Color Patterns
Solid - the coat is all one color- Black, Red, Chocolate, Apricot
Cream, White
Abstract - any solid colored dog with white markings.
Parti - a white dog with colors that are distributed in patches on the body.
Phantom - Any color with points. similar to points on a Doberman or Rottweiler
Sable - the coat is dark at the tips and lightens toward the skin. Sable is the most drastic changing color scheme. They look completely different at birth compared to 6 months old and then again as an adults. The sable color coat will lighten when placed in a puppy cut. Sable Phantom - a sable with light colored points
Merle - dilute random sections of coat in lighter colors (usually grey in a black-pigmented dog), leaving patches of the original color remaining. The patches can be any size and can be located anywhere on the dog
Coat Colors
White - snow white
Cream - off white (ivory)
Buff/Beige - beige/tan (no apricot or red tones)
Apricot / Gold - a color similar to the inside of a peach
Red - bright and dark
Black - solid black
Chocolate - milk chocolate to dark chocolate
